Visit the Hagia Sophia


A timeless monument to both Christian and Islam faiths, this church which became a mosque stands witness to the Euroasian history. Right next to it is the famous Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmet Mosque), another beautiful example of the Ottoman architecture. Visit these timeless monuments and be amazed by the spirit of the centuries.


Tour the Topkapi Palace Museum


The Topkapi Palace, once an ever-expanding residence of sultans, their harems and other entourage, stands as a majestic reminder of the greatness and wealth of the Ottoman empire. Take a guided or an audio tour through this museum and immerse yourself in the history spreading throughout centuries.


Explore the Sultanahmet area


In the vicinity of Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, you can wander through the narrow streets of the Sultanahmet area and have a meal or two in the beautiful restaurants. Don't forget to take a small trip to the Covered Market (Kapali Carsi) nearby for a good, old-fashioned shopping of textiles and other Turkish products!


Get on a Bosphorus cruise

Walk around Taksim and Istiklal

Climb the top of Galata Tower


Continue your walk through Istiklal and Beyoglu a little while, and the narrow streets will lead you right to the imposing Galata Tower. Once a military observation point, it is now a famous landmark on whose top you can see a beautiful panorama of Istanbul, and even enjoy a meal in the restaurant.
